Organization of AEC

Ars Electronica Linz GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the City of Linz. It was founded in 1995 in conjunction with the opening of the Museum of the Future. Ars Electronica Linz GmbH is responsible for organizing and producing the Ars Electronica Festival and the Prix Ars Electronica, and for operating the Museum of the Future and the Ars Electronica Futurelab.

Funding is provided by the City of Linz, the Province of Upper Austria and the Republic of Austria. The organization is headed by an artistic director and a financial director.
