JKU Smart Information Campus (SIC) is an information system for students and employees of Johannes Kepler University Linz. As of now, the system is available for iPhone, iPad, and for Android-based mobile phones and tablets. You will find the application in the app store or at Android Market under the name of “Smart Information Campus” or the abbreviation “SIC”. What this app is able to do:

• Orientation at the campus
• See friends on a map in realtime
• Find and/or leave messages
• Identify your position almost room-specifically
• Network with lecture room-info, tram monitor, mensa, and find events
• Find interesting things in your area

The Smart Information Campus App is based on Digital Graffiti, which is a research project developed in cooperation between the University of Linz, Siemens Corporate Technology in Munich and the Ars Electronica Futurelab in Linz. It allows users to place smart messages in public and private places using mobile devices and interact with them in smart and innovative way.
