Many people already know that the appearance of a glowing Ars Electronica Center can be controlled every evening through the façade terminal at the riverside. As part of an art project Dawid Liftinger turns the building into a sleeping creature with his own software on FRI, July 6th, and SAT, July 7th 2012, from 10 PM two hours long.
Through the visual pulsing the museum comes to life and starts to breath like a living being. The visualization is a counterweight to effective projects and therefore focuses on a recurring, monochrome pattern to lull the Ars Electronica Center to sleep.
Dawid Liftinger, born 1986, studies “Time-based and interactive media” at the Kunstuniversität Linz, and connects his additional knowledge as a software developer with this project.
