Anarchive is a series of interactive multimedia projects designed to enable users to explore the work of individual artists. Masaki Fujihata is the sixth artist in this series that began with Antoni Muntada in 1999. Anarchive 6 is a book containing almost all works created by Masaki Fujihata between 1972 and 2016.
The aim of this historical-critical research project is to promote public awareness of key developments in contemporary art such as performances, works in public places, videos, installations and experiments with technology.
Anarchive serves not only to maintain and expand an important database; it’s also meant to encourage other artists to develop new works through the application of digital techniques.
