(Linz, February 13, 2012) Full-tilt snowboard action is on tap at the next Deep Space LIVE on Thursday, February 16, 2012. The film “The Art of FLIGHT” features snowboard legend Travis Rice and other top international riders on slopes that no snowboarder has ever ridden before. State-of-the-art filmmaking equipment—some of it developed expressly for “The Art of FLIGHT”—provides incredible high-definition images. This Curt Morgan film was produced by Red Bull Media House in cooperation with Brain Farm Digital Cinema.

Top Riders and Breathtaking Locations

“The Art of FLIGHT” showcases the daredevil feats of some of the world’s top snowboarders—Travis Rice, John Jackson, Mark Landvik, Scotty Lago, Nicolas Müller, DCP, Jake Blauvelt, Pat Moore, Mark McMorris and Jeremy Jones. Among the shooting locations were the Darwin Range in Patagonia, Chile, the Tordrillo Range in Alaska, the Snake River Range in Wyoming, Aspen, Colorado, the Andes and British Columbia.

Deep Space LIVE

The Ars Electronica Center is now hosting a Deep Space LIVE event every Thursday (except holidays) at 8 PM. Each presentation will feature ultra-high-definition imagery in 16×9-meter format and will be accompanied by expert commentary, entertaining stand-up repartee, and musical improvisation. Whether great works from the history of art, space travel, journeys of discovery in the Nanoworld, or a live concert is what you’ve come to behold, Deep Space LIVE stands for enlightening entertainment amidst breathtaking worlds of imagery. Admission is €2. Holders of a valid Museum ticket are admitted free of charge.
